Firerose Accuses Billy Ray Cyrus of ‘Narcissistic Abuse’ in TikTok

UPDATE: Australian singer Firerose has just released a powerful TikTok video accusing her ex-husband, Billy Ray Cyrus, of “narcissistic abuse,” shocking fans and followers with her candid revelations. The video, posted on December 4, highlights her tumultuous experiences during their brief marriage, which lasted from October 2023 to their divorce in 2024.

In the urgent video, Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rosie Hodges, reflects on her past relationship, urging her younger self to heed caution. “In your 20s you’ll meet a 49-year-old man who convinces you you’re his soulmate… It is very important you don’t believe him,” she warns, a message that is resonating deeply on social media.

Firerose speaks directly to others who have faced similar challenges, stating, “If you’ve survived narcissistic abuse, you’re not alone. It’s chilling how similar survivors’ experiences really are.” Her heartfelt message addresses the common tactics of control and isolation, emphasizing that there is hope and strength even amidst such turmoil.

The TikTok post comes after Firerose previously shared insights about her relationship in an interview with The Sunday Telegraph’s Stellar magazine in October 2024. She revealed that friends and family noticed her withdrawal as she became increasingly isolated. “I would have told my 22-year-old self to run in the opposite direction and never look back,” she said, highlighting the emotional toll of her experience.

Firerose also recounted alarming statements from Cyrus during their relationship, claiming he warned her against public appearances, stating, “You’re a Cyrus now. You can’t be going to church… You’re going to be murdered.” Such allegations paint a disturbing picture of their marriage, which she describes as filled with “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse.”

Cyrus has vehemently denied these claims, asserting that he was the victim of abuse, and has accused Firerose of manipulation and trying to control his career. This ongoing dispute has taken place amid Cyrus’s new relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley, which has drawn considerable media attention.

As Firerose continues to share her story, her focus remains on reaching others who may feel alone in their struggles. “But I promise, God sees everything and there is a light at the end of the tunnel,” she concludes, offering a message of resilience and hope.
