Hong Kong Hosts SIGGRAPH Asia 2025, Uniting Global Innovators

The SIGGRAPH Asia 2025 conference officially commenced today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), serving as a major gathering for the international community focused on computer graphics and digital innovation. This year’s event is particularly significant for Hong Kong as it welcomes over 7,000 attendees from more than 50 countries, including researchers, artists, and industry leaders, who will engage in four days of discussions, presentations, and exhibitions centered around pioneering ideas and technologies.

These organizations are presenting breakthrough innovations across various segments of the digital landscape.

Attendees can look forward to engaging with over 600 expert speakers covering topics in artificial intelligence, visual effects, and interactive technologies. The conference features a diverse array of sessions, including Technical Papers, Featured Sessions, and the renowned Computer Animation Festival.

The Featured Sessions will also include presentations from industry veterans such as Paul Debevec and the Pixar team, detailing the creative processes behind their latest projects.

The 2025 Computer Animation Festival will showcase award-winning short films and experimental works, with entries evaluated by a panel of international jurors. A total of 488 submissions from 39 countries reflect the global nature of the event and its commitment to advancing the art of storytelling through digital mediums.

As the conference unfolds, participants will engage in a variety of activities, including technical courses, art showcases, and demonstrations of emerging technologies.
