Kieren Perkins, CEO of the Australian Sports Commission, emphasized the significance of this documentary as a reflection on the evolution of the AIS. “With excitement building for a home Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032, we are embarking on the most significant upgrade to our AIS campus since its establishment in the 1980s,” Perkins stated.
The documentary not only celebrates over 40 years of sporting excellence but also aims to inspire future generations of athletes. Perkins added, “Forging Champions honours more than four decades of innovation and sporting excellence through the voices of iconic Australians.”
