Mitiamo showcased their dominance in a critical match against Newbridge, winning decisively by 23 goals, with a final score of 61-38.
In a thrilling encounter at Newbridge, Mitiamo faced a tough challenge from the third-placed Maroons. After a tightly contested first quarter that ended in a 12-all tie, the Superoos surged ahead, demonstrating their strength in the second quarter with a commanding 19-10 lead. Coach Abbey Battersby praised her team, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a positive attitude as they aim for back-to-back championships.
“Once we got out in front, we never looked back,” Battersby stated, highlighting the team’s resilience and strategic adjustments during the match.
Taylah Diss, who was promoted from the A Reserve side, made a significant impact in her new role, contributing to the team’s success along with centre Amelia Ludeman, who was recognized as one of the best players on the court.

In the HDFNL, Colbinabbin continued their remarkable season with a dominant win over reigning champions Elmore, further establishing their position at the top with a stunning 70-23 victory. Colbinabbin remains unbeaten this season, showcasing an impressive percentage of 249.1.
