URGENT UPDATE: Community groups in regional Western Australia can now apply for grants of up to $5,000 through the Racing WA Community Fund. This funding opportunity is currently open for organisations across the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Wheatbelt, and Mid West regions, with applications closing on September 7, 2025.

The fund, now in its third round, aims to support initiatives that foster community connections, enhance well-being for individuals or animals, and promote sustainability. Ian Edwards, CEO of Racing and Wagering WA, highlighted the fund’s significant impact over previous rounds. “Last year’s northern round supported a variety of initiatives, including a Variety WA event in the Mid West, a youth outreach program in the Kimberley, and a road safety initiative in the Wheatbelt, to name a few,” he stated.

Edwards emphasized the integral role of racing in building community ties, noting that this fund extends that impact beyond the racetrack. “Whether it’s a local sports club, volunteer service, or well-being program, if your group is making a positive contribution to your region, we want to support those efforts to go even further,” he added.

This is a crucial opportunity for local organizations aiming to make a difference. The grants can significantly boost projects that serve the community, and with the application window now open, groups are encouraged to act quickly.

For more details on eligibility criteria and to apply, visit the Racing WA website at racingwa.smartygrants.com.au/grantround2025. Don’t miss your chance to secure funding that can enhance your community’s well-being and sustainability efforts. Apply now and make a lasting impact in regional WA!
