iPadOS 26 Enhances Productivity with ‘More Space’ Feature

Apple’s latest update, iPadOS 26, introduces significant productivity enhancements, particularly a new windowing system that allows users to access multiple apps simultaneously. This upgrade has brought renewed attention to the previously overlooked ‘More Space’ setting, which optimizes screen usage by increasing the density of content in app windows.

With iPadOS 26, users of any iPad model can now display up to 12 app windows at once on devices like the 13-inch M4 iPad Pro. This is a notable increase from the previous limit of just four apps, which required the use of the Stage Manager feature. While this expanded capability improves multitasking, it also raises challenges concerning screen real estate.

At present, the largest iPad models feature a 13-inch display, with many others in the 11-inch range. Apple is reportedly developing an 18.8-inch foldable iPad, although sources indicate that this model is still years away. For users who do not have the option to connect to an external display, the ‘More Space’ setting becomes an invaluable tool for maximizing on-screen content.

To enable the ‘More Space’ setting on your iPad, navigate to Settings, then Display & Brightness, and select Display Zoom. Here, users will find three options, including the ‘More Space’ feature, which reduces the size of user interface elements. This allows for more content to be displayed at once, making it especially beneficial for those who frequently run multiple windows together.

While ‘More Space’ may not be ideal for users with vision impairments, it can significantly enhance productivity for others. This adjustment is particularly advantageous in the context of the new windowing capabilities introduced in iPadOS 26.

As users explore the features of iPadOS 26, they may find themselves leveraging the ‘More Space’ setting to transform their work experience. The added functionality could be particularly appealing for professionals seeking to maximize their efficiency on the iPad.

In addition to exploring software updates, Apple is currently offering discounts on several accessories, including the Apple Pencil Pro, now priced at $99, down from $129, and the AirPods Pro 2, available for $199, reduced from $249.

As users continue to adapt to the changes brought by iPadOS 26, the ‘More Space’ feature stands out as a key enhancement that can significantly impact productivity for a wide range of iPad users.
