Stevie Nicks Reschedules Tour Dates Following Shoulder Injury

Stevie Nicks has announced the rescheduling of her upcoming concert dates after suffering a shoulder fracture. The 77-year-old singer-songwriter is expected to require time for recovery, prompting the postponement of her US tour dates originally set for August and September.

A message on her official Instagram account stated, “Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled. Please note that October dates will be unaffected. Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience.” Nicks was slated to begin her tour in August but has now adjusted her plans to prioritize her health.

Reissue of Buckingham Nicks Album

In related news, the only studio album by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, titled *Buckingham Nicks*, is set to be reissued for the first time. Originally released in September 1973, the album has not been available for decades. The reissue will be sourced from the original master tapes and will return to vinyl, along with high-resolution digital files for CD and digital release.

Recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, the album was released just before Nicks and Buckingham joined the iconic rock band Fleetwood Mac. While it did not achieve commercial success, it played a crucial role in attracting the attention of Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood, who later invited the duo to join the band.

Despite past tensions, particularly following Buckingham’s departure from Fleetwood Mac in 2018 under difficult circumstances, Fleetwood has expressed a desire for Nicks and Buckingham to reconcile. He had hoped to reunite the band before the passing of Christine McVie in November 2022 at the age of 79. Since McVie’s death, Fleetwood has indicated that he has “struggled” to find direction but remains optimistic about future musical endeavors.

“I miss playing as much as we used to,” Fleetwood said. He expressed hope that next year could bring opportunities to collaborate with another band, stating, “I’m hoping next year, one way or another, some band somewhere will say, come and play with drums or something. So, I always love to do whatever I can do working on an album that next year we may tour with it. I don’t know, (but) not Fleetwood Mac.”

As fans await Nicks’ recovery and the reissue of *Buckingham Nicks*, the music world remains attentive to the evolving dynamics between these legendary artists.
