Chubby Cattle, known for its premium wagyu beef and traditional yakiniku dining experience, is set to open a third location in the Chicago area next year. The new restaurant will be situated in a renovated building at 5490 Park Place in Rosemont, just a short distance from O’Hare International Airport. This announcement marks an important step in the Chubby Group’s ongoing expansion throughout the Chicagoland region.
While an exact opening date has not been announced, the company is targeting a summer 2024 launch. Currently, Chubby Cattle operates a location at 2162 S Archer Avenue in Chinatown, where diners can enjoy an all-you-can-eat menu featuring unlimited selections of meats, broths, seafood, and signature Japanese dishes. The menu offerings vary by location, with the Chinatown establishment providing tiered options labeled as silver, gold, and diamond.
In addition to the new Rosemont venue, Chubby Cattle is preparing to open another location at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, which is expected to debut later this year. These developments are part of a broader growth strategy that has seen the brand expand to a total of 13 locations across the United States, with more anticipated globally.
According to a report by the Daily Herald, the new Rosemont location will occupy the former site of a Harley Davidson dealership within the Parkway Bank Park Entertainment District. This area is poised to enhance its culinary offerings by joining the plaza, which already includes the popular Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse.
Renovations are currently underway to prepare the building for its new tenant, and the company has expressed enthusiasm about the potential for growth in this strategically located venue. As the opening date approaches, updates are expected, with What Now Chicago reaching out to the owner for further details.
The expansion of Chubby Cattle reflects a growing trend in the restaurant industry, where unique dining experiences are increasingly being embraced by consumers. With its focus on high-quality ingredients and an interactive dining atmosphere, Chubby Cattle aims to attract both local customers and travelers visiting the bustling area near one of the world’s busiest airports.
