East Japanese Restaurant Set to Open in Hell’s Kitchen

East Japanese Restaurant is making its way to Hell’s Kitchen, securing a location at 314 West 53rd St.. Community board filings reveal that the restaurant will occupy the space previously held by Hide-Chan Ramen, which closed its doors permanently in September 2023. The venture is led by Shigeru Nishida, who is also behind the popular Soba Noodle Azuma in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

The new restaurant promises to offer a diverse menu of Japanese cuisine, including sushi and ramen. Plans indicate that the establishment will feature 20 tables with a total seating capacity of 44 patrons, along with a stand-up bar that accommodates an additional 10 guests.

Operating Hours and Ambiance

Proposed hours for East Japanese Restaurant are set from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, with extended hours until 12 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The interior design aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for both casual diners and those looking for a quick bite at the bar.

The opening timeline for this new culinary addition has yet to be announced, but interest is already building in the Hell’s Kitchen community. With a rich history in Japanese dining, Nishida’s team is poised to attract both local residents and visitors eager to experience authentic Japanese flavors in a vibrant setting.

As the restaurant prepares for its debut, it stands as a promising development in a neighborhood known for its diverse culinary landscape. The resurgence of East Japanese Restaurant in this sought-after area highlights the continued demand for quality dining experiences in New York City.
