Groundbreaking for Plant Street Commons Mixed-Use Development

Orlando’s latest mixed-use project, Plant Street Commons, has officially commenced construction following a groundbreaking ceremony held on August 27, 2023. Situated in Winter Garden, this three-story development will integrate both residential and retail spaces, responding to the area’s growing demand for modern living and shopping experiences.

Located at 419 W. Plant Street, the development is positioned on the northwest corner of Plant Street and N. Central Avenue. Atrium Capital Group spearheads this initiative, which will include ten contemporary apartments and eight two-story townhomes. The project is designed to blend modern architecture with the small-town charm that Winter Garden is known for.

The residential component of Plant Street Commons will feature ten apartments, each equipped with modern finishes. The townhomes will be strategically placed along Central Avenue and Bay Street, offering residents convenient access to local amenities. Additionally, the development will house approximately 5,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for both residents and visitors.

Parking facilities are also part of the plan, with around 27 parking stalls available for residents and retail customers. This consideration addresses the needs of an increasing population in the area while promoting accessibility to the commercial components of the project.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Adam Wonus, partner at Atrium Management Company and Atrium Capital Group, emphasized the project’s commitment to modern design while preserving the essence of Winter Garden’s community feel. “Plant Street Commons is designed to not only meet the demand for housing and retail but also to enhance the character of Winter Garden,” Wonus stated.

The timing of Plant Street Commons is particularly significant, as Winter Garden has emerged as a popular destination for shopping and dining. The city’s retail market is experiencing a notable surge, and this development aims to cater to that demand with a combination of residential options and commercial opportunities.

As the construction progresses, Plant Street Commons is set to become a key addition to Winter Garden’s landscape, aligning with the city’s growth and evolving needs. The integration of sustainable living spaces alongside vibrant retail offerings positions this development as a response to the changing dynamics in urban living.

Overall, Plant Street Commons seeks to provide a comprehensive solution to the demands of modern residents while fostering community engagement through its mixed-use design.
