Immersion Coffee Co. Expands to Miramar Food Hall in San Clemente

Immersion Coffee Co., a San Diego-based coffee brand, is set to expand its footprint by opening a new location at the Miramar Food Hall in San Clemente this fall. The announcement, reported by San Clemente Times, highlights the café’s plan to join a diverse array of 13 food and drink vendors at the site, which is undergoing a transformation from an old theatre located at 1720 N El Camino Real.

Founded in 2019, Immersion Coffee Co. initially operated as the Manivela Coffee Truck, utilizing mobile electric coffee trailers to serve customers. Co-founders Birtan Cetinoz and Ugur Iyigun, who have been friends since childhood, transitioned the brand into a brick-and-mortar establishment, now boasting multiple locations in Little Italy, La Jolla, and Carlsbad.

Unique Offerings and Café Design

The new café will feature a specialty coffee program, showcasing signature drinks such as the Orange Latte with Cara Cara compote, Strawberry Matcha, and Agave-Sweet Cream Espresso. In addition to beverages, Immersion Coffee Co. will offer a selection of seasonal pastries and baked goods, all prepared fresh daily.

The design of the café aims to create an inviting atmosphere with an intimate coffee counter, clean minimalist aesthetics, and soft lighting. Patrons can expect curated music alongside top-notch equipment, including La Marzocco espresso machines and Mahlkönig grinders.

Community Focus and Opening Timeline

Construction is currently underway at the Miramar Food Hall, with staffing efforts expected to commence as the project nears completion. The café is anticipated to open its doors in late fall 2025. Cetinoz expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming location, stating, “Our goal has always been to create spaces that go beyond serving coffee, drinkable quality accessible/affordable to anyone, and to offer experiences that bring people together. We’re excited to join the Miramar Food Hall community and share our signature drinks and hospitality with a new part of Southern California,” as quoted by What Now OC.

As Immersion Coffee Co. prepares for this expansion, the brand continues to emphasize its commitment to quality and community engagement, aiming to establish a welcoming space for coffee enthusiasts in San Clemente.
