Reach Resources Expands Murchison Gold Project with New Lease

Reach Resources has significantly strengthened its position in the Murchison gold sector by securing a second mining lease near Payne’s Find in Western Australia. This new lease integrates the East Daffodil gold deposit with the company’s existing Pansy Pit lease, enhancing its exploration and development potential as gold prices continue to rise.

The addition of the East Daffodil lease consolidates a strategic area that includes historic pits and underexplored ground. Currently, the Pansy Pit hosts an inferred resource of 72,000 tonnes at 2.5 grams per tonne (g/t), equating to approximately 5,800 ounces of gold. This lease area is situated along the Primrose Fault, recognized as the region’s primary gold-bearing structure.

Strategic Growth Opportunities

The East Daffodil deposit is identified as a high-priority target, having undergone only limited shallow drilling. The deepest exploration hole has reached just 29 metres. This minimal drilling indicates substantial potential for resource expansion. Adjacent to this site, the Blue Heaven deposit, which is the company’s immediate development focus, has a solid resource base of 681,000 tonnes at 2.8 g/t, amounting to over 61,000 ounces of gold. The mineralisation at Blue Heaven has been traced down to 200 metres below the surface, suggesting significant growth prospects.

With multiple mineralized zones now secured under granted tenure, Reach Resources is poised to evaluate various development scenarios, offering greater flexibility in its strategic planning. The project’s proximity to infrastructure, including its location within a kilometre of the Great Northern Highway and access to a toll treatment plant about 75 kilometres away, enhances its viability.

Positive Timing for Development

The timing of this new lease acquisition aligns well with the current surge in gold prices. Reach Resources anticipates a steady flow of updates in the near future, including metallurgy results, reverse circulation drilling outcomes, and rock chip sampling data. Notably, rock chips collected in December are expected to provide initial insights into surface gold concentrations and the prevalent quartz veins in the area, potentially shaping the next phase of drilling efforts.

These forthcoming results are set to inform an updated mineral resource estimate and contribute to the completion of a scoping study. Company management views these as critical milestones that will influence future development decisions.

As Reach Resources continues to navigate technical and permitting challenges, the new lease not only broadens its operational map but also appears to enhance the scale and long-term value of the Murchison South gold project. This development positions the company to potentially establish two viable mining centres as it moves towards 2026, capitalizing on its momentum in the competitive gold market.
