Rush Bowls Launches New Location in Tempe with Festivities

Rush Bowls, the fast-casual brand from Colorado known for its customizable bowls and smoothies, has officially opened a new location in Tempe, Arizona. The grand opening took place on October 25, 2023, at 777 S. College Ave. in the ASU Fulton Center, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a day filled with celebrations.

The opening event attracted local enthusiasts with various activities, including free bowls for the first 100 guests, live DJ entertainment, and complimentary samples of La Colombe cold brew and house-made protein Rush Bites. Attendees also had the chance to win prizes, such as two tickets to Billie Eilish’s upcoming concert at the Phoenix Arena and a one-month membership to Hotworx along with a workout basket.

Local Entrepreneurs Drive Expansion

This new Tempe location is owned by local entrepreneurs Matt and Donna DeConzo, who are spearheading Rush Bowls’ expansion in Arizona through a five-store development agreement. Following this launch, their next store is expected to open soon in Scottsdale’s Pima Crossing shopping center, with plans for additional locations in northwest Phoenix.

“Matt and I became Rush Bowls fans the first time we tried it, and we can’t wait to serve the Sun Devil community in Tempe with wholesome, delicious meals they’ll love as much as we do,” said Donna DeConzo. She emphasized her preference for the açaí and fruit bowls, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients, which are blended to order right in front of customers.

Andrew Pudalov, founder and CEO of Rush Bowls, praised the DeConzos for their enthusiasm and commitment to providing a health-conscious dining experience. “Their energy and connection to the community perfectly align with our mission,” he stated.

Nutrient-Packed Offerings

The menu at Rush Bowls Tempe features a variety of nutritious options, including the Açaí Beach Bowl, Yoga Bowl, and the Peanut Butter and Jelly Bowl, all crafted fresh to order with real ingredients, free from added sugars and preservatives. Customers can personalize their bowls with whole fruits, house-made nut butters, and various add-ons such as protein boosts and immune support.

In addition to bowls and smoothies, the Tempe location offers grab-and-go Rush Bites and even Bow Wow Bowls for pets. The store operates Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 19:00 and Saturday to Sunday from 09:00 to 19:00. The modern, clean interior reflects the brand’s commitment to a fast, friendly, and wellness-focused experience.

Orders can be placed in-store, through the Rush Bowls app—which includes loyalty rewards—or via delivery services like DoorDash and Uber Eats for added convenience. For further information, including menus, visit www.rushbowls.com.
