Tampa Welcomes Benton Brew Coffee House with Live Music Scene

A new coffee house dedicated to the local music scene is set to open in Tampa Bay this fall. The Benton Brew Coffee House, located at 5008 W Linebaugh Ave, Suite 2, aims to provide a venue for great coffee, tea, and baked goods while celebrating the vibrant culture of live music.

Angel Soto and Carol Soto, both veterans of the Tampa Bay music industry, are behind this exciting venture. “We are a music scene coffee house,” Angel Soto stated in an interview. The couple has been involved in the local music business since 2001, and their passion for music will be reflected in the café’s décor and offerings. The menu will focus primarily on coffee and tea, complemented by a variety of baked goods, including scones, croissants, muffins, and cookies.

The coffee house will feature a stage intended for live performances, allowing local musicians to showcase their talents. With seating for approximately 25 to 30 people, the intimate setting is designed to foster a community atmosphere. Additionally, the rear of the café will house an art and photography studio, which will be open to the public and include a designated selfie station.

Angel Soto expressed excitement about the project, noting, “The coffee house has been a dream in the making for years.” After previously owning a record store, the couple saw this as an opportunity to blend their love for music with a new business venture. “When that closed, we thought this would be a cool opportunity. So after the space next to the studio opened up, we jumped on it,” he added.

Currently, the space is undergoing construction, with plans to open by the end of October 2023. As the opening approaches, those interested can stay updated on developments and offerings by following Benton Brew on Instagram at @bentonbrew.

Benton Brew Coffee House promises to be more than just a café; it aims to be a cultural hub that celebrates the music and arts of Tampa Bay. With its unique blend of coffee, community, and creativity, it is poised to become a popular destination for locals and visitors alike.
