Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has officially joined the Technical University of Munich’s (TUM) Industry Engagement Program (IEP), a strategic initiative designed to foster innovation and nurture next-generation talent. This collaboration provides a unique opportunity for TCS to engage with the TUM ecosystem, which is recognized throughout Europe for its commitment to research and development.
The IEP serves as a dynamic platform that connects industry leaders with researchers, allowing both parties to explore mutual interests and promising fields of innovation. By becoming a member, TCS will have direct access to TUM’s extensive resources and talent pool, enhancing its capacity to develop advanced solutions.
Andreas Gebert, a representative from TUM, highlighted the significance of this partnership as TCS becomes the first technology-based consulting firm to join the IEP. This marks a notable milestone in TUM’s efforts to expand its industrial partnerships, particularly in technology and consulting sectors.
In a statement, Prof. Gerhard Kramer, TUM’s Vice President for Research and Innovation, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. The impact of TCS in Germany has been significant since its establishment in the country in 1991. With a workforce exceeding 590,000 across 55 countries, TCS operates from 13 locations in Germany, partnering with approximately 100 companies, including more than half of the DAX40 corporations.
Bhuwan Agrawal, Head of TCS Central Europe, emphasized the strategic importance of TUM in the research landscape. He stated, “We’re excited to join TUM’s Industry Engagement Program in Germany.
