2025 Logie Awards Celebrate Television Excellence Across Australia

The 2025 Logie Awards showcased the best in Australian television, honoring standout performances and programs from the past year. The ceremony, held on a significant date in the industry calendar, recognized talents across various categories, celebrating achievements in drama, comedy, news, and entertainment.

Top Honors and Notable Winners

Lynne McGranger received the prestigious award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, reflecting her enduring popularity. The Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter went toTodd Woodbridge, known for his work on programs like *Tipping Point Australia*, the *Australian Open*, and the *Paris Olympics* on the 9Network. The Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent was awarded to Guy Montgomery for his role in *Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee* on ABC.

In the news category, Ally Langdon took home the Ray Martin Award for her work on *A Current Affair*, also on the 9Network.

The Silver Logie Awards highlighted exceptional performances in drama and comedy. Sam Neill won Best Lead Actor in a Drama for his role in *The Twelve* on BINGE/FOXTEL, while Lynne McGranger again received recognition as Best Lead Actress in a Drama for her long-standing role in *Home and Away* on the Seven Network.

In the comedy category, Aaron Chen was awarded Best Lead Actor for his performance in *Fisk*, and Kitty Flanagan won Best Lead Actress for the same show. The Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards also went to cast members of *Fisk*, with Glenn Butcher and Julia Zemiro taking home the honors.

Program Highlights and Achievements

The Logies also recognized outstanding programs in various genres. The Best Drama Program award was given to *Return To Paradise* on ABC, while the Best Miniseries or Telemovie went to *Apple Cider Vinegar* on Netflix.

In entertainment, *The Voice* on the Seven Network captured the title of Best Entertainment Program, while *Australian Story* on ABC was recognized as the Best Current Affairs Program.

Comedy was celebrated with *Fisk* taking the award for Best Scripted Comedy Program, and *Have You Been Paying Attention?* on Network 10 winning Best Comedy Entertainment Program. The competition reality realm was dominated by *LEGO Masters Australia* from 9Network, which won Best Competition Reality Program.

The Best Lifestyle Program award went to *Travel Guides*, while *Betrayal of Trust*, a report featured on *Four Corners*, won Best News Coverage. The documentary *Unbreakable: The Jelena Dokic Story* also stood out, winning Best Factual or Documentary Program, and the Best Sports Coverage award was awarded to *The Olympic Games Paris 2024* on 9Network and Stan Sport.

Lastly, *Bluey*, a beloved children’s program on ABC, won the award for Best Children’s Program, underscoring the show’s popularity among young viewers.

The Logie Awards continue to be a significant event in celebrating Australian television, highlighting the creativity and talent that define the industry. With an array of presenters and nominees, the event not only honors individual achievements but also showcases the collective strength of the Australian media landscape.
