Leah Briggs Celebrates Album Launch with Hometown Performance

Leah Briggs, a rising star in the country music scene, will return to her hometown for a special one-night-only performance to celebrate the launch of her new album, Peace, Love, Forgiveness. The event is scheduled for November 1, 2023, at the Beachport Hotel and will feature fellow musician Matt James and other special guests.

Born in Mount Gambier and raised in Beachport, Briggs has deep ties to the region. She attended Kangaroo Inn Area School and has always felt a connection to her hometown, despite having lived in various states including Tasmania, Victoria, and Queensland. “It means the world to me to come home for this album launch,” Briggs stated. “You always want to return to your roots and celebrate something you have created.”

The album launch marks a significant moment for Briggs, who recorded her album in September 2023 with Southend native Bill Chambers at Chambers Avenue Recording Studio in New South Wales. “This will be my first full album of original tracks, featuring some co-writes with Bill,” she explained.

Growing up listening to the Dead Ringer Band and influenced by Kasey Chambers, Briggs considers her collaboration with Chambers a pivotal part of her musical journey. “He knows my work, and we resonate on a musical level. It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with him,” she added.

Briggs’ new album serves as a sequel to her six-track EP, Save Me, released in 2015. It reflects her life’s journey and personal growth as an artist. The upcoming performance not only represents a professional milestone but also a heartfelt return to the community that shaped her.

As the launch date approaches, excitement builds for this unique opportunity to see Leah Briggs perform in the town where it all began. Fans and friends are eager to celebrate the release of Peace, Love, Forgiveness and witness the artist’s return to her roots.
