Security Breach at Wicked Premiere: Ariana Grande Ambushed on Carpet

A dramatic incident unfolded at the premiere of *Wicked: For Good* in Singapore on September 28, 2023, when Australian prankster **Johnson Wen**, known as “Pyjama Man” on social media, managed to evade security and ambush singer **Ariana Grande** on the yellow carpet. Video footage shared by attendees shows Wen leaping over a barricade and rushing past security personnel before putting his arm around a visibly startled Grande, causing a moment of chaos.

Immediately responding to the situation, Grande’s co-star **Cynthia Erivo** intervened, pushing Wen away from the singer. Meanwhile, actress **Michelle Yeoh** embraced Grande, who appeared shaken by the encounter. Security guards swiftly apprehended Wen, restraining him on the ground as Grande clutched her chest in shock. Erivo provided consolation to Grande, wrapping her arms around her as the event unfolded.

In the aftermath of the incident, Wen posted a video on his Instagram account, expressing gratitude to Grande with the message: “Dear Ariana Grande Thank You for letting me Jump on the Yellow Carpet with You.” He later shared a video on his Instagram Story from what appeared to be an airport, where he pointed to a message on his shirt reading “Jesus” alongside the text: “I’m Free after being Arrested.”

As of now, neither Grande, Erivo, Yeoh, nor **Universal Pictures** have publicly commented on the event. This is not the first time Wen has made headlines; he previously rushed the stage during a performance by **Katy Perry** at **Qudos Bank Arena** in June 2023, where he similarly disrupted the show by putting his arm around the singer.

The incident raises questions about security protocols at high-profile events, as the rapid response from Grande’s co-stars highlighted the potential dangers posed by uninvited guests. Fans and attendees expressed their concern over the safety of celebrities, emphasizing the need for enhanced measures to prevent such disruptions in the future.

As this story develops, the entertainment community watches closely, awaiting reactions from those directly involved and the implications for future events.
