Reflecting on her debut, Sunday revealed that she had the opportunity to connect with Delevingne the night before the show. “I actually got the opportunity to sit and talk with Cara Delevingne the night before the show — we have a mutual friend,” Sunday explained in her interview with Nylon. “I got to ask her questions and talk to her about her experience as a model. It was nice to get to know her as I’ve looked up to her for a long time.” This support helped ease her nerves as she prepared for her first major runway appearance.
Growing up, Sunday accompanied her mother to various photoshoots, which fueled her interest in fashion. However, her parents established specific guidelines to ensure she balanced her career aspirations with her education. “There are two big rules,” she stated. “The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16, and the second is that school always has to come first.” While she initially found these restrictions challenging, she expressed gratitude for the discipline they instilled in her.
