Meraas has announced a groundbreaking residential masterplan for the Dubai Design District (d3), aiming to transform the area into a premier creative-led waterfront neighbourhood. This initiative, revealed on January 5, 2026, covers an impressive 18 million square feet and establishes d3 as a focal point for design, innovation, and culture in Dubai.
Located strategically between Downtown Dubai and Dubai Creek Harbour, the revised masterplan incorporates a mix of residential, cultural, retail, and hospitality elements. This multifaceted approach aligns with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which seeks to enhance the city’s global standing in these key sectors.
Key Features of the New Masterplan
One of the standout aspects of the new design is the **Design Line**. This pedestrian-first pathway will connect the entire district while providing shaded areas for comfort.
