Vantage Foundation and Laureus Team Up to Empower Vulnerable Youth

The Vantage Foundation has announced a partnership with the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation in Spain, aiming to explore how sports can transform the lives of vulnerable youth. This collaboration highlights the potential of sports as a tool for social change, particularly in underprivileged communities across the globe.

Harnessing the Power of Sport

During a recent meeting in Madrid, representatives from both organizations discussed the profound impact of Laureus programs. With over 300 initiatives worldwide, Laureus focuses on using sports to instill resilience and hope in children and young people who face significant challenges, such as violence, discrimination, and poverty.

Laureus operates under the conviction that sports can change lives. Participants engage not only in physical activities but also learn essential life skills such as respect, teamwork, and perseverance. These programs create safe environments, allowing young individuals to foster self-esteem and build confidence.

The human connection formed through Laureus’s methodology offers consistent support, crucial for youths who may otherwise experience instability or isolation. By promoting inclusivity and belonging, Laureus empowers participants to envision a brighter future.

Building Stronger Communities

The impact of Laureus extends beyond individual participants. By bringing communities together through sports, the organization strengthens social bonds and creates pathways for shared futures. The values of discipline, cooperation, and resilience instilled through these programs equip young people not only for athletic pursuits but also for their life journeys.

Steven Xie, Executive Director of the Vantage Foundation, expressed his admiration for Laureus’s work: “It was truly inspiring to see how Laureus is changing lives through sport. This is work that strengthens individuals and builds more resilient societies.”

The Vantage Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that aim to transform lives. By partnering with Laureus, they are working toward ensuring that vulnerable communities have access to opportunities that lead to hope and a better tomorrow.

Launched in 2023 at the McLaren Technology Centre in the UK, the Vantage Foundation has collaborated with various organizations worldwide, including notable partnerships with Grab Indonesia, the iREDE Foundation in Nigeria, and Teach for Malaysia. Their mission remains focused on driving impactful social initiatives across different regions.
