In response to the increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters in the Asia-Pacific region, the inaugural Singapore-International Disaster & Emergency Management Expo (SIDEX) 2025 will take place from November 19 to 21, 2025. Hosted at the Singapore Expo Hall, this event is a collaborative effort by COSEM, in conjunction with the Singapore Civil Defence Force. SIDEX 2025 aims to enhance global preparedness and response by bringing together leading experts in disaster management and emergency response.

Conference Highlights and Featured Speakers

Under the theme “Ready Today, Resilient Tomorrow,” SIDEX 2025 will feature a comprehensive three-day Conference and Exhibition focusing on Civil Protection & Safety, Emergency Preparedness & Response, and Disaster Management & Humanitarian Response. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from distinguished keynote speakers such as Jim Pauley, CEO of the National Fire Protection Association, and Dr Sabrina Cohen-Hatton, Chief Fire Officer of West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service. These leaders will provide actionable strategies to improve disaster management and emergency preparedness.

In addition to keynote addresses, the conference will include expert panels featuring representatives from various international organizations. The aim is to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among the global disaster management community.

Innovations at the Exhibition

The SIDEX 2025 Exhibition will showcase cutting-edge technologies and services related to disaster management and emergency response. With over 300 exhibitors and 600 conference delegates expected, the exhibition promises to be a hub of innovation. Trade visitors can explore a broad array of innovative products and solutions designed to enhance response capabilities and resilience.

In conjunction with SIDEX 2025, the 8th Edition of the Singapore-Global Firefighters and Paramedics Challenge (SGFPC) will be held at Singapore Expo Hall 4 on November 20 and 21, 2025. This flagship event, organized by the Singapore Civil Defence Force, will bring together firefighters, rescuers, and paramedics from around the world to compete in scenario-based challenges that test their skills, strength, and teamwork.

The SGFPC not only serves as an international competition but also includes public challenge segments that engage community partners like schools and local emergency response teams. This aspect of the event celebrates resilience, emergency preparedness, and collaboration, making it a key highlight of the expo.
