A senior member of the US House Oversight Committee has made a striking assertion regarding the existence of extraterrestrial life. Tim Burchett claimed that aliens could be operating from undisclosed underwater bases near the Bahamas. He stated that Navy personnel have been pursuing unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) that reportedly exceed the capabilities of current human technology.
Burchett shared his views on social media platform X, revealing that naval sources have described underwater vehicles capable of traveling at “hundreds of miles an hour.” He expressed his concern, stating, “We have naval personnel telling me we have these sightings, these underwater craft they’re chasing that go hundreds of miles an hour, and the best we got is something that does maybe a little under forty miles an hour. So I got a lot of questions about that stuff.”
In his comments, Burchett noted that there are “five or six” specific locations off the US coast where these sightings are most prevalent. He speculated that advanced “entities” could have been concealed in the depths of the ocean for generations, exploiting regions that remain largely mysterious to humanity.
Claims of Underwater Alien Activity
Dr. Michael Salla, an author and researcher, provided further context to Burchett’s claims during an interview on the Redacted podcast. He highlighted the Tongue of the Ocean, a deep trench situated near the Bahamas, as a likely location for these alleged extraterrestrial bases. Salla claims that whistleblowers have reported sightings of alien craft entering and exiting the water near the US Navy’s secretive AUTEC facility, often referred to as an “underwater Area 51.”
Salla elaborated, stating, “It drops off immediately around 3,000 feet. That’s ideal for a submarine. But it’s also a place where people have seen many UFOs, many underwater craft coming into and leaving the water.”
Witness accounts of “orbs” surfacing from the ocean have previously been presented to Congress. Whistleblower Michael Shellenberger testified during a hearing that these oceanic UAPs appear to contradict “our current understanding of physics.”
Online reactions to Burchett’s statements have varied significantly, reflecting a mix of skepticism and intrigue. One user from the UK commented, “These so-called underwater craft are inter-dimensional craft that enter other dimensions via portals.” Another lightheartedly quipped, “Perhaps there is intelligent life on Earth after all?”
As these assertions gain traction, they continue to fuel discussions around the existence of UFOs and the possibility of extraterrestrial life, particularly in unexplored regions of our planet. The ongoing debate underscores the public’s fascination with the unknown and the potential implications for national security and scientific inquiry.
