Martins Sesks Targets Partial 2026 WRC Campaign with M-Sport

Martins Sesks is set to return to the World Rally Championship (WRC) in 2026, announcing a plan to compete in a partial season with the British team M-Sport-Ford. Partnering once again with co-driver Renars Francis, Sesks aims to drive a Ford Puma Rally1 in seven selected events throughout the season, commencing with Rally Sweden from February 12 to 15, 2026.

The anticipated collaboration marks the third consecutive year that Sesks and Francis will represent M-Sport-Ford. The duo has established a strong rapport, and their experience is expected to contribute positively to their performance in the upcoming events. In addition to the season opener in Sweden, they plan to participate in rallies held in Portugal, Greece, Estonia, Finland, Sardinia, and Saudi Arabia.

The selection of events highlights the team’s strategy to maximize their competitive potential against a backdrop of challenging terrains and varying conditions. Each rally presents unique obstacles, and the expertise of both Sesks and Francis is crucial for navigating these challenges effectively.

This partial campaign allows M-Sport-Ford to focus on key rallies while also managing resources effectively, as they prepare for a full-fledged participation in subsequent seasons. The choice of the Ford Puma Rally1, an advanced vehicle designed for optimal performance, underlines the team’s commitment to achieving success in the WRC.

As the rally season approaches, anticipation builds among fans and competitors alike. The first test of this renewed partnership in Sweden will serve as a significant benchmark for Sesks and Francis, setting the tone for their performance in the following events.

With a growing interest in rallying, the return of Martins Sesks to the WRC is a development that many will be watching closely. His experience, combined with the robust capabilities of the Ford Puma Rally1, sets the stage for what could be an exciting year for both the driver and the M-Sport team.
