This included damages to a net camera, which he inadvertently destroyed during a heated moment in his second-round match against American player Learner Tien.
Medvedev’s outburst occurred after losing a crucial point, leading him to repeatedly strike his racquet against the net, prompting a delay in play while tournament staff replaced the damaged camera. He not only faced financial penalties but also took on the responsibility for the camera’s destruction.
