Nacim Dilmi Eyes Continued Success at Wyong with Bellevue

Trainer Nacim Dilmi is set to continue his recent success at Wyong on Sunday, where he will present several strong contenders at the meeting. Before the races on Saturday at Randwick and Newcastle, Dilmi had achieved an impressive record with ten winners from his last fifty runners.

Dilmi’s most promising entry is Bellevue, a three-year-old gelding who will compete in the Elite Sand & Soil Midway Class 1 Handicap over a distance of 1625 meters. Bellevue, sired by Bivouac and out of a mare by Sebring, recently won a race at Taree, defeating Odaka, who is trained by Kris Lees. Anna Roper, who rode Bellevue in that race, will be in the saddle again at Wyong.

Additional Contenders for Dilmi

In addition to Bellevue, Dilmi will field two more runners. Warm Front will compete in the Bella Group Services Provincial Maiden Handicap at 1350 meters, with Chad Schofield taking the reins. After struggling in his initial two race starts, Warm Front showed significant improvement with a second-place finish at Taree behind Lune D’Excellence.

Representing Dilmi in the McGrath Foundation Pink Race Day Domeland Women’s Invitation Race Benchmark 64 Handicap over 1300 meters is the talented former Hong Kong racer Kyeema. Roper will also ride Kyeema, who previously finished a close second on the Kensington track at Randwick before experiencing a ninth-place finish in a Midway race behind Oui Oui Oui.

As Dilmi prepares for Wyong, the stakes are high, and the anticipation is palpable. With Bellevue leading the charge, fans and followers of the trainer and his horses look forward to what promises to be an exciting day of racing.
