Audio Pro Launches Enhanced Drumfire Speakers with Advanced Streaming

Audio Pro has unveiled an updated version of its Drumfire wireless speaker range, originally introduced in 2018. The Swedish audio brand has launched the new Drumfire II W and Drumfire D-2 W models, both featuring enhanced sound tuning, a redesigned app, and expanded streaming capabilities. These new speakers aim to provide smarter connectivity and improved usability while delivering a more powerful audio experience.

The standout model, the Drumfire II W, is a large, floor-standing wireless speaker that boasts an impressive 200 watts of Class D amplification. It incorporates twin soft-dome tweeters and two 13.7 cm woofers, which Audio Pro claims are tuned to deliver “pure, bold sound” with crisp detail, whether played at low volumes or pushed to their limits. Additionally, the rear of the speaker features RCA inputs and a subwoofer output for users looking to enhance their audio setup further.

Alongside the flagship model is the more compact Drumfire D-2 W, which offers 100 watts of Class D power. This model also features twin tweeters and dual 11 cm woofers, making it suitable for use as a standalone speaker or as part of a stacked configuration with the larger model. When the two speakers are paired, the system automatically adjusts its crossover, allowing the larger cabinet to handle the deepest bass. This results in a cleaner sound at higher volumes, reducing strain on both speakers.

Enhanced Streaming and User Experience

Both the Drumfire II W and D-2 W support Audio Pro’s multi-room platform and a comprehensive range of modern streaming options, including Google Cast, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect. Users can control the speakers through a revamped Audio Pro app, which features a cleaner layout and improved navigation, building on enhancements made with the previous year’s well-received C20 W model.

The design of the new speakers remains true to the Drumfire heritage, showcasing faux-leather wrapping, hand-stitched detailing, and aluminium accents. Customers can choose from three colour options: white, grey, or black. Six physical preset buttons located on the top of the speakers allow for quick access to playlists or radio stations, providing convenience without the need to reach for a smartphone.

In the UK, the Drumfire II W is priced at £600, while the Drumfire D-2 W retails for £350. Pricing and availability in Australia have yet to be confirmed.

As the demand for high-quality wireless audio continues to grow, Audio Pro’s refreshed Drumfire lineup aims to meet the needs of modern consumers seeking both functionality and superior sound quality.
