ClearVue Partners with Kukyoung to Revolutionize Solar Facades

ClearVue Technologies has entered into a three-year licensing agreement with Kukyoung Glass and Metal Co., a prominent producer of architectural glass in South Korea. This partnership aims to integrate ClearVue’s cutting-edge power-generating solar facade technology into high-end commercial and institutional buildings throughout South Korea and the greater Asia Pacific region.

Kukyoung will serve as an official fabricator for ClearVue, authorized to market and deploy the company’s innovative solar glazing technologies within its advanced glass products. This collaboration focuses on enhancing renewable energy initiatives, improving energy efficiency, and enabling onsite power generation through ClearVue’s building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems.

Enhancing Sustainability and Market Reach

The agreement also provides ClearVue with access to Kukyoung’s extensive customer network, which includes property developers, architects, and government agencies that are advocating for green building practices. Given South Korea’s rapidly evolving construction market and its commitment to carbon neutrality, this partnership has the potential to significantly bolster ClearVue’s financial performance.

Douglas Hunt, managing director and CEO of ClearVue Technologies, expressed pride in the partnership, stating, “We are proud to be working with Kukyoung because they are a highly respected leader in the South Korean glass facade industry.” He highlighted Kukyoung’s long-standing expertise, which dates back to 1959, in delivering premium, high-performance solutions to architects, developers, and construction firms throughout the region.

Joint research and development initiatives between ClearVue and Kukyoung will align with national green building programs. These collaborative efforts will leverage Kukyoung’s glass engineering capabilities alongside ClearVue’s photovoltaic expertise to create next-generation facade innovations specifically designed for the Asian market.

Growth Strategy and Market Impact

This agreement exemplifies ClearVue’s partnership-driven commercialization strategy, which has resulted in a remarkable 54 percent growth in its project pipeline since June 2025. Approximately 75 percent of new opportunities have arisen from partnerships, with the company submitting proposals worth $60 million over the past three months alone.

Kukyoung’s CEO, Justin Choe, emphasized the company’s mission to deliver architectural glass systems that blend design excellence with high performance. He noted that integrating ClearVue’s solar facade technologies will enhance Kukyoung’s value proposition by providing clients with a comprehensive renewable energy solution.

The partnership not only accelerates ClearVue’s market penetration but also promotes sustainable architectural practices on a regional scale. With Kukyoung’s manufacturing capabilities driving the adoption of solar facades, ClearVue is well-positioned to transform Asia’s skylines, turning buildings into symbols of renewable energy and setting a new standard for eco-innovative design.
