Samsung Galaxy S26 Set to Enhance Satellite and Gaming Features

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 is poised to introduce significant enhancements, particularly in satellite communication and mobile gaming capabilities. While these advancements generate excitement, the pricing for the new devices remains uncertain.

Samsung’s new Exynos Modem 5410 will reportedly feature in the Galaxy S26 lineup, bringing improved satellite connectivity. According to Phandroid, this modem aims to deliver faster connectivity and allow Samsung’s flagship phones to access full satellite functionality for the first time. Currently, the existing Galaxy S25 models have limited satellite support, primarily restricted by network availability. The introduction of this modem marks a pivotal development for Samsung, aligning its offerings more closely with competitors like Apple and Google, which already provide satellite capabilities in their devices.

In addition to enhanced satellite features, the Galaxy S26 is expected to sport an upgraded graphics processing unit (GPU). The new AMD GPU, integrated into the Exynos 2600 chip, should significantly enhance mobile gaming performance. As reported by The Elec, users can look forward to a smoother and more immersive gaming experience with these updates. This advancement signals Samsung’s commitment to catering to the growing mobile gaming market.

Despite the promising features, details surrounding the pricing of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra remain ambiguous. According to The Bell, Samsung is grappling with pricing decisions, as the costs of electronic components, marketing, and labor continue to rise. The company faces a delicate balancing act: setting a price that maintains profitability while remaining attractive to consumers.

For context, the starting price for the base Galaxy S25 was set at $799 in January 2025. With rising production costs, it is unclear whether Samsung will adjust its pricing strategy for the new models. Using Exynos processors in select versions may offer some cost relief, but the company is still navigating negotiations and potential price adjustments.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026, although availability in stores may not occur until the following week. As anticipation builds, consumers and tech enthusiasts alike are eager to see how these developments will unfold and what they will mean for the future of Samsung’s flagship devices.

In summary, the Galaxy S26 is set to make impressive strides in satellite and gaming capabilities, but potential buyers will need to wait for more information regarding pricing. As the launch date approaches, Samsung’s strategic decisions will be closely watched by the industry and consumers alike.
