BREAKING: The newly named AlUla Contemporary Art Museum officially launched its vision during the unveiling of the groundbreaking exhibition Arduna on February 1, 2026. This significant milestone in Saudi Arabia’s cultural landscape positions AlUla as a pivotal hub for contemporary art and global dialogue.
The AlUla Contemporary Art Museum, part of the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030, aims to celebrate the region’s rich heritage while fostering innovative artistic exchanges. Located in AlUla, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and historical significance, the museum will serve as a dynamic platform for artists worldwide.
The Arduna exhibition, meaning “our land” in Arabic, features over 80 works from acclaimed artists including Pablo Picasso and Wassily Kandinsky. It runs until April 15, 2026 and showcases contemporary interpretations of humanity’s relationship with nature, making it a must-see for art enthusiasts and the general public alike.
Hamad Alhomiedan, Director of Arts & Creative Industries at the Royal Commission for AlUla, stated,

The launch of Arduna coincides with the fifth edition of the AlUla Arts Festival 2026, an annual event celebrating art, design, and culture. Co-curated with Paris’s Centre Pompidou and supported by the French Agency for AlUla Development, this festival reflects AlUla’s commitment to global artistic collaboration.
