Apple Martin, the daughter of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and musician Chris Martin, has publicly denied allegations suggesting she was expelled from school for bullying. The 21-year-old model and college student addressed these rumors via her Instagram account, asserting that the claims are “completely false.”
In her Instagram stories, Apple stated, “Hi! I didn’t wanna respond but this narrative is completely false and has gotten so out of hand. I have never been expelled from any school, especially not for bullying anyone.” She emphasized her character by saying, “I am not that type of person and anyone who is close to me knows that.”
Personal Struggles and Self-Acceptance
Apple’s response comes at a time when she has been candid about her struggles with low self-esteem, particularly related to her skin. She revealed that she has dealt with acne breakouts, which have impacted her confidence. In a recent appearance on Vogue’s Beauty Secrets series, Apple shared her journey with skin issues and how her mother has supported her through it.
She noted, “My mom definitely gave me advice. God bless her. She would ask all of her super ‘Goop-y’ people about where I should go visit.” Apple mentioned that she consulted dermatologists multiple times, but she has since found relief through a consistent skincare routine. “You find a good, chill skincare routine, and, like, drink a lot of water,” she advised.
Apple elaborated on how her skin condition worsened during the COVID-19 lockdowns, providing her an opportunity to hide her breakouts. “Luckily, the worst it got was during COVID. So, I could kind of, like, hide it,” she explained. Now, she is learning to accept her imperfections, stating, “I’m human. What am I gonna do if I have a pimple? It’s not the end of my life.”
Positive Outlook on Self-Image
In her candid reflections, Apple encouraged others to maintain a positive outlook regarding their skin and self-image. She remarked, “Honestly, I think that everyone is still gorge, and if you wake up and you have a new pimple, just be like: ‘Alright. That’s what today’s gonna be like.’”
Through her openness about personal challenges and her rejection of unfounded rumors, Apple Martin continues to navigate the complexities of growing up in the public eye while fostering a message of self-acceptance and resilience.
