BREAKING: The father-son duo of Josip and Noa Skoko led their team, Caffe Bar “B-Cool Brewery & Pub,” to victory in a humanitarian futsal tournament held last weekend in Kaštel Sućurac, near Split. This annual event, the Turnir Četiri kafića (Tournament of Four Cafés), took place at the Sokolana Sports Hall, drawing attention for its charitable cause.
UPDATE: The tournament not only celebrated local talent but also aimed to raise funds for the Naša dica association, supporting children in need. Proceeds from ticket sales will directly aid the charity, which expressed gratitude for the community’s support. “You made our children stars today,” said Vedrana Šarić, vice-president of Naša dica, highlighting the emotional impact of the event.
The competition saw the Skokos’ team dominate, defeating Caffe Bar “Balun” in their opening match with a score of 6–4. They then faced Caffe Bar “Mama” in the final, triumphing with a 5–3 victory. This win marks a significant achievement for the Skoko family, especially as Noa is a current player for the Hajduk Split first team.
“This tournament is a chance to do a good deed and connect with teammates,” said Anthony Kalik, another key player from the victorious team. The tournament featured a lineup of well-known personalities from the Croatian sports community, enhancing its popularity and competitive spirit.
The event, which had a nostalgic element as it revived a local tradition that concluded two decades ago, aims to continue fostering community spirit. The trophy was presented by Denis Ivanović, the Mayor of Kaštela, who expressed pride in hosting the tournament. “I hope it will remain here for many years to come,” he stated.
As the tournament concludes, the impact of such events on local charities and community bonding cannot be overstated. The success of the B-Cool team not only highlights sporting achievement but also showcases the power of community support through sports.
