Detectives Share Crime Insights for Hospitals – Tickets Selling Fast!

URGENT UPDATE: Two renowned detectives will reveal gripping insights into high-profile crimes at the Inside Story event in Wangaratta on November 21, 2023. This event not only promises to captivate audiences but also aims to raise funds for local hospitals, a cause of critical importance to the community.

The detectives, a former Homicide Squad member now with the Armed Crime Squad, and another with extensive experience in major drug investigations, are hailed as “rock stars in their field,” according to Travis Carroll, president of the Blue Ribbon North East Branch. The duo will share their experiences tackling notorious crimes, offering attendees a unique opportunity to learn about real-life investigations.

Last year’s event featured legendary detective Jeff Maher, who discussed the infamous Peter Dupas and the Salt Nightclub murders. This year promises even more engaging content, with the audience encouraged to ask questions during the event. Carroll emphasized the importance of these discussions, stating, “It’s a really engaging night, people get to learn how crimes are solved.”

Since its inception in 2006, the Blue Ribbon organization has raised an impressive $750,000 for regional hospitals. This year’s event is further supported by local businesses, which have contributed over $10,000 in raffle prizes. Attendees can win fantastic prizes, including weekend accommodation, beauty care packages, and vouchers, with a major $5,000 prize provided by McPhails Furniture.

With recent events in Porepunkah, the cause hits closer to home. “Being able to honour their memories with donations to local hospitals is a very worthy cause,” Carroll added.

Only 250 tickets are available for this anticipated event, and last year’s tickets sold out quickly. “There was a massive rush on tickets last year, so I’d suggest people get in as soon as they can,” Carroll urged. The support from the community and local businesses has been overwhelming, making this event not just a fundraiser but a celebration of community spirit.

Tickets are available now through trybooking.com and will remain on sale until November 19
