UPDATE: Firefighters are urgently battling a bushfire near Wattle Flat in New South Wales, with smoke visible in the surrounding area. The fire ignited at approximately 12:50 PM today, and crews from the Rural Fire Service (RFS) – Chifley Lithgow are on the scene, employing aircraft to aid in containment efforts.
The RFS reports that the fire is located in a “difficult to reach location,” making firefighting efforts more challenging. Currently, there is no immediate threat to properties in the vicinity. However, residents nearby are advised to remain vigilant as smoke may affect air quality.
