Four Arrested in Disturbing Child-Like Sex Doll Import Scheme

BREAKING: Four men have been arrested in a significant crackdown on the importation of child-like sex dolls to rural Australia. The Australian Border Force (ABF) executed a series of raids in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley areas, uncovering a disturbing trend in attempted shipments over the past year.

Authorities confirmed the arrest of a 63-year-old man at his home in November 2024, followed by a critical interception in April 2025, when officers seized a doll disguised as a silicone toy in an air cargo package. In May, a 49-year-old man was arrested on a rural property near Scone, about two hours north of Newcastle. The crackdown continued in June 2025, resulting in the arrest of a 55-year-old man in Whitebridge as another suspected doll shipment was intercepted.

ABF Inspector Michael Mahony emphasized the seriousness of these crimes, stating, “Dolls that normalize child exploitation are far from a victimless crime and they have no place in the Australian community.” He reiterated the ABF’s commitment to seizing any form of child abuse material at the border and ensuring prosecution for those involved.

The accused face severe charges related to the importation of Tier 2 Goods, specifically these disturbing dolls, with potential penalties of up to $782,500 or ten years in prison, or both. Investigators are also probing further, having seized several mobile phones and electronic devices linked to child abuse material and illicit drugs during the raids.

The implications of these arrests are profound, as they highlight a growing concern regarding the normalization of child exploitation through such imports. The ABF is actively monitoring and responding to this disturbing trend, underscoring the urgent need for community vigilance.

As this story develops, more arrests may follow, and authorities urge anyone with information related to similar activities to come forward. Stay tuned for the latest updates on this alarming situation.
