Global Muslim Content Summit Ignites Movement in Kuala Lumpur

BREAKING: The inaugural Global Muslim Content Summit (GMC Summit) has kicked off in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together over 400 creators, media professionals, and scholars from more than 40 countries. This landmark event, hosted by OnePath Network at The Westin Kuala Lumpur on 12-13 July 2025, is already being hailed as a pivotal moment for the future of Muslim media.

This summit is not just a conference; it represents a powerful movement aimed at empowering Muslims to create content that resonates with truth and integrity. Opening the summit was Nurul Izzah Anwar, a prominent Malaysian politician and daughter of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. She set the stage for a weekend filled with innovative ideas and collaborative spirit.

The atmosphere was charged with energy as Malaz Majanni, CEO of OnePath Network, shared the vision for this groundbreaking initiative. According to Majanni, “We believe in the power of content and media. Together we’re planting seeds that, with Allah’s help, will grow into lasting impact.”

The summit features a lineup of influential speakers including globally respected scholar Mufti Menk, author and media advocate Na’ima B. Robert, and educator Imam Tom Facchine. The sessions cover crucial themes like faith-driven storytelling, digital strategy, and the role of women in Muslim media, aiming to equip participants with the skills needed to thrive in the digital landscape.

A standout moment was the live podcast performance by the Safi Bros, showcasing the creativity and boldness emerging from today’s Muslim media landscape. The event is designed to foster collaboration and equip creators, whether they are just starting out or looking to scale their projects globally.

Participants expressed their enthusiasm about the summit’s impact. Na’ima B. Robert remarked, “The GMC Summit was truly unforgettable. OnePath Network far exceeded expectations—the calibre of the speakers and the depth of the workshops made it a standout experience.”

Ahmad Shuaib, co-founder of SalaamTix, added, “As a Muslim business owner, the GMC Summit was a unique event where we discussed our brand and gained actionable content strategies.”

The success of this event is bolstered by the commitment of partners and sponsors, including Human Appeal Australia and Cinta Gaza Malaysia, who believe in the power of authentic, Muslim-led media. Their support has created a collaborative space where creators can come together to share ideas and build impactful narratives.

The GMC Summit is a call to action for Muslims worldwide to engage with media purposefully. It emphasizes storytelling that uplifts the ummah and aligns with ethical values. As the excitement continues to build online, OnePath Network is already planning future summits, aiming to empower Muslims to utilize media for dawah and champion causes that represent Islam with strength and beauty.

Stay tuned for more updates as this movement gains momentum and transforms the landscape of Muslim media. The buzz generated from Kuala Lumpur is just the beginning of a global initiative focused on meaningful content creation.
