Historic Wedding Venue in Kurrajong Hills Engulfed by Fire

URGENT UPDATE: A devastating fire has completely destroyed the historic wedding venue, Loxley on Bellbird Hill, located in Kurrajong Hills, north-west of Sydney. The blaze erupted late on Friday night, forcing countless couples to scramble for last-minute wedding arrangements.

Emergency services received reports of the fire at approximately 7 PM, with over 80 firefighters responding to the scene. Eyewitness footage shows flames leaping from the windows and engulfing the roof of the iconic venue as multiple fire crews worked tirelessly to control the blaze.

Fortunately, there were no scheduled events at the venue during the fire. However, a 40-year-old man sustained minor burns while attempting to extinguish the flames, as confirmed by NSW Police.

As of Saturday morning, fire crews remain on-site, extinguishing lingering spot fires ignited by the embers. The NSW Rural Fire Service stated, “A large building has been totally destroyed and other structures have sustained damage.”

Authorities have dispatched specialist fire investigators from NSW Police to determine the cause of the fire. This developing situation has left many local couples scrambling to find alternative venues for their weddings, creating an emotional whirlwind for those affected.
