In a significant reveal, Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, launched the commemorative book series titled “Making it Count.”

This book series highlights the inspiring life stories and reflections of eight Distinguished Lifetime Members who have made profound contributions to the accountancy profession and public service. The aim is to motivate younger generations to consider a career in accountancy, showcasing how it can be both meaningful and impactful.

During the event, ISCA recognized exemplary leaders in the profession, conferring the coveted Distinguished Lifetime Membership on Dr. Ernest Kan, former President of ISCA. Dr. Kan expressed his gratitude, stating,

“I am honoured to receive the ISCA Distinguished Lifetime Membership. The profession has given me so much, and it has been a privilege to contribute to its reform agenda.”

He emphasized his confidence in the future of the accountancy profession in Singapore.

Additionally, Max Loh, outgoing Chairman of ISCA Cares, received the ISCA Special Appreciation Award for his significant contributions to the sector. Loh remarked,

“Purpose, Passion, Perseverance and Positivity are what is required to continually uplift the accountancy profession.”

He officially passed the Chairmanship to Professor Ang Hak Seng during the dinner, marking a new chapter for ISCA Cares.
