Library Construction Collapse in Gwangju Leaves One Dead, Three Trapped

URGENT UPDATE: A library under construction in Gwangju, South Korea has tragically collapsed, resulting in the death of one worker and leaving three others trapped beneath the rubble. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 26, 2023, during the morning hours, sparking immediate rescue efforts.

Emergency officer Ahn Gyun-jae confirmed during a televised briefing that four workers were initially buried in the debris. While one was rescued, he was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
