Families are invited to experience an exciting pop-up museum at the Miller Community Centre from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, offering a rare chance to engage with incredible artifacts from the Melbourne Museum collection.

This interactive event is designed for children aged three to 13, providing a hands-on exploration of Australia’s ancient giants. Attendees will marvel at a life-sized Muttaburrasaurus skull and leg, along with captivating skull casts and footprint artworks of the Diprotodon, the largest marsupial to ever roam the continent.

In addition, visitors will encounter the Koolaschus Cleelandi, a car-sized amphibian officially recognized as Victoria’s state fossil emblem. The event will also feature a striking skull cast of the Thylacoleo, known as the “marsupial lion,” which once prowled Australia’s landscapes thousands of years ago.

As the pop-up museum showcases Australia’s rich natural history, it will also present taxidermy specimens of beloved native animals such as the koala, platypus, echidna, and various bird species. This unique blend of education and entertainment promises to captivate families right on Whittlesea’s doorstep.

Following the morning session, the pop-up museum will move to the Galada Community Centre in Epping North for a special presentation at 2:00 PM the same day.

Bookings are essential for both sessions, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for all attendees.
