NEGS Armidale Celebrates Outstanding 2025 HSC Results Today

UPDATE: NEGS Armidale has just announced remarkable results for the 2025 Higher School Certificate (HSC) examinations, showcasing the school’s commitment to academic excellence. Students achieved an impressive average ATAR of 92.85 and celebrated the achievement of three Distinguished Achievers recognized on NESA’s Merit Lists.

Principal Ms. Liz van Genderen highlighted the transformative impact of an all-girls educational environment in shaping these outstanding results. “The performance reflects the dedication of our students and the expertise of our teaching staff,” she stated. The school’s focus on nurturing confidence and ambition has proven effective, leading to students exceeding state averages in nine subject areas.

Among the distinguished achievers, Lucy Coelho excelled in Mathematics Advanced and Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, while Ruby Holgate shone in Music 1. Notably, Saskia Jeffery-Bilich achieved a top 5% ranking in New South Wales for Textiles and Design, with her Major Work selected for the prestigious SHAPE showcase, highlighting its excellence among HSC Major Works.

The Class of 2025’s performance is a testament to their resilience and commitment. The cohort’s highest HSC mark was an impressive 95, with 100% of students earning Band 4 or higher in subjects including Music 1, Ancient History, and Modern History. Additionally, 73% of the entire cohort achieved Band 5 or higher in at least one course, reflecting a widespread culture of excellence.

“Our students have not only met but exceeded state benchmarks across multiple courses,” Ms. van Genderen added, expressing pride in their achievements. The NEGS community is excitedly looking forward to the bright futures of these students across various fields.

This exceptional academic performance underscores the enduring value of a NEGS education, where girls are empowered to excel and define success on their own terms. As NEGS Armidale continues to cultivate future leaders, the impact of the Class of 2025 will undoubtedly resonate for years to come.
