Nowra’s Team Nowra Launches Campaign to Spotlight Hidden Gems

BREAKING: Nowra is set to redefine its image as a vibrant destination, thanks to the launch of the Team Nowra campaign on December 4, 2023. A group of enthusiastic young business leaders has united to showcase the CBD’s hidden gems, challenging the perception that Nowra is overshadowed by neighboring areas like Berry and Jervis Bay.

The initiative aims to boost Nowra’s profile and create a unique identity that attracts visitors. “Nowra’s refreshing charm comes from being unapologetically ourselves,” declared Team Nowra member Barron Hanson. The campaign began as a grassroots effort among passionate business owners eager to revitalize Nowra’s brand.

As part of this initiative, the name Nowra will appear on various merchandise, including shirts and bags, while a dedicated website, www.nowra.org.au, has been launched to promote local businesses and events. Hanson emphasized the goal of increasing evening foot traffic by 40 percent, highlighting the untapped potential within the CBD.

Team Nowra is committed to transforming the area from all angles, focusing on authenticity. They plan to support businesses by extending trading hours and offering mentorship, resources, and grants for emerging ventures. Additionally, they are working on a Nowra art walk to celebrate the creativity within the community.

Fellow Team Nowra member Alison Henry expressed excitement about promoting the cool and unique spots in the CBD. “There are lots of cool places and hidden gems in the CBD, so we’re just hopefully promoting them,” she stated. The initiative aims to foster a sense of pride in Nowra and initiate positive conversations about the city.

During the launch event at the Shoalhaven Regional Art Gallery, community leader Tanya Bloxsome emphasized the importance of pride in their hometown. “I’m proud to say I’m from Nowra,” she affirmed, calling for residents to celebrate their city and its potential.

As Team Nowra embarks on this ambitious journey, they are poised to change perceptions and increase community engagement. The activation of this campaign signals a new era for Nowra, one where local pride and entrepreneurial spirit take center stage.

Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to explore the newly highlighted attractions and support the local businesses that contribute to Nowra’s unique character. The Team Nowra initiative is not just about marketing; it’s about building a community identity that reflects the diverse voices and stories that define Nowra.

Stay tuned for developments as Team Nowra works to unveil all that this vibrant city has to offer.
