Rugby Legends Fittler and Inglis Rev Up Charity Tour in Tamworth

URGENT UPDATE: Rugby league legends Brad Fittler and Greg Inglis have arrived in Tamworth as part of the much-anticipated HOGS National Tour, promoting community engagement and celebrating the sport. The tour, which kicked off from Penrith on February 8, 2023, has already covered significant ground, and the Tamworth stop is crucial for raising funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.

Just yesterday afternoon, Fittler and Inglis, joined by NRLW star Olivia Higgins, participated in a fundraising event at the Longyard Hotel. They met with local supporters and contributed to the mission of enhancing vital services for the community.

The trio continued their whirlwind schedule this morning at the PCYC, where they engaged in an exhilarating series of activities aimed at promoting footy and fitness among local youth. The energy was palpable as families and children gathered to celebrate their shared love for rugby league.

In a statement, Fittler expressed his excitement, saying, “

The NRL HOGS National Tour has grown into something really special over the years, and every time we hit the road we’re reminded of how much these regional communities mean to rugby league.

” He added that the overwhelming turnout from local families underscores the importance of these events in strengthening community ties around the sport.

The tour, which spans an impressive 7,500 kilometres across New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria, has seen the team stopping at various locations, including Gunnedah and Moree, where they held coaching clinics aimed at inspiring the next generation of rugby players.

As this leg of the tour wraps up in Tamworth, the focus shifts to the impact these engagements have on local communities. The HOGS National Tour not only raises funds but also fosters a sense of unity and inspiration among participants and fans alike.

Looking ahead, fans can expect updates on the ongoing journey of Fittler, Inglis, and Higgins as they continue their mission to connect with communities across Australia. With excitement building, these rugby icons are set to leave a lasting legacy in the regions they visit.

Stay tuned for more updates from the HOGS National Tour as it progresses, and don’t miss the chance to share this incredible journey with your network!
