URGENT UPDATE: Runners are gearing up for the annual Dawnbusters Fun Run along Geelong’s picturesque waterfront on December 31, 2025, at 7 AM. This vibrant event aims to raise essential funds for the Give Where You Live Foundation (GWYLF), focusing on food security, homelessness assistance, and inclusive employment programs.

Organized in partnership with the Geelong Cross Country Club, this year marks the 34th annual edition of the fun run, which invites participants of all ages and fitness levels to kickstart the final day of the year in a meaningful way. Zac Lewis, GWYLF’s chief executive, expressed his enthusiasm: “We can’t think of a better way to kickstart your 2026 than by raising funds for the Give Where You Live Foundation and supporting those in our community facing homelessness and food insecurity.”

Each runner will tackle a 5 km course, creating a sense of community and camaraderie, which is a hallmark of this long-standing tradition. John Morton from the Geelong Cross Country Club stated, “Starting the final day of 2025 with a run is the perfect way to set the tone for the year ahead and support your community.”
