Emergency services responded to a severe traffic accident involving a motorcycle in Bellmere on the morning of March 15, 2024. The incident occurred shortly before 09:00 local time on Bellmere Road, prompting a swift response from police and paramedics.
The Forensic Crash Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Preliminary findings suggest that a black Kawasaki motorcycle failed to navigate a corner at the intersection of Bellmere Road and River Drive. The motorcycle subsequently struck the centre medium strip, crashing through a fence and colliding with a shed located at the rear of a residence on Daintree Street.
Inside the shed, the motorcycle collided with a parked car. The rider, a 31-year-old man from Narangba, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment. His current condition remains serious, and authorities are monitoring his status.
