URGENT UPDATE: Three teenagers have been charged following a serious assault on a man in his late 50s during New Year’s Eve celebrations in Albany. The incident occurred on York Street at approximately 11:25 PM, where emergency services discovered a 58-year-old man suffering from significant injuries.
Authorities report that the victim was taken to Albany Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the brutal attack. The three boys, aged between 13 and 17 years, have each been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm. Additionally, a 16-year-old girl associated with the group has been charged with receiving stolen property in an unrelated case.
All four individuals are scheduled to appear before the Albany Children’s Court at a later date.
