U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon Shatters Records in 2025

The 2025 U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon marked a record-breaking weekend in West Palm Beach, Florida, attracting over 6,100 runners from 29 countries and 46 states. This event, which took place on December 16, 2025, was the first marathon for which U.S. Polo Assn. served as Title Sponsor, amplifying the excitement surrounding the race and showcasing the vibrant community spirit of Palm Beach County.

The marathon, recognized as a qualifying event for the Boston Marathon, saw Ivan Gabriel Mafla Bolanos from Ecuador finish first overall with an impressive time of 2:37:56. Mafla Bolanos traveled over 15 hours to participate in the race, highlighting the international appeal of the event. The first female to cross the finish line was Teresita Granados Solis from Costa Rica, who completed the marathon in 3:06:55, marking her third career win in the distance.

In addition to the marathon, the weekend featured a range of races, including a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon Relay. Each participant received a commemorative U.S. Polo Assn. performance race shirt and a medal inspired by the colors of The Palm Beaches. Notably, the first 135 finishers of the marathon earned a special cap to celebrate the 135th Anniversary of the United States Polo Association.

Community Engagement and Philanthropy

The marathon weekend was not only about competition; it also emphasized community engagement. Over 200 volunteers, including employees from USPA Global, supported the event, demonstrating a commitment to local involvement. “The U.S. Polo Assn. According to Kenneth R. Kennerly, CEO of K2 Sports Ventures, which manages the marathon, “U.S. Polo Assn. has been an outstanding partner for the Palm Beaches Marathon, elevating every aspect of this year’s marathon from the athlete experience to community engagement.” Kennerly added that the partnership has made 2025 a standout year for runners, walkers, and spectators alike.

Race Results Overview

The marathon results showcased the competitive spirit of the event. Among male finishers, Charles Richardson from Wellington, Florida, came in second at 2:43:16, followed closely by Simon Boudreau from Canada with a time of 2:43:59. In the female category, Eryn Renehan from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, finished second in 3:19:28, while Alina Morrison from Palm Beach took third place at 3:19:36.

In the Half Marathon, Tyler Bernier from Singer Island, Florida, claimed victory with a time of 1:18:39. He was followed by Duniel Viera from West Palm Beach at 1:20:57 and Matthew Roeder from Berwyn, Illinois, who finished in 1:21:23. Among female half marathon finishers, Emily Paradis from Fort Lauderdale secured first place at 1:23:55.

As the dust settles on this year’s marathon, plans for the 2026 U.S. Polo Assn. Palm Beaches Marathon are already underway, promising to build on this year’s successes and continue to foster a spirit of athleticism and community engagement.
