Unitree Robotics, a prominent player in the robotics industry, has officially clarified its 2025 sales and shipment figures following the emergence of misinformation online. On January 22, 2026, the company addressed these inaccuracies, stating that it had never publicly disclosed any sales data for 2025 prior to this announcement.
The clarification reveals that Unitree’s actual shipment volume of humanoid robots surpassed 5,500 units. This figure refers specifically to the number of robots sold and delivered to end customers, distinct from order volume, which is reported to be higher. The total mass production output for the year exceeded 6,500 units, which exclusively includes pure humanoid robots and does not account for dual-arm wheeled robots or other robotic types.
Context of the Misinformation
Unitree emphasized the need for caution when comparing the sales figures of different robotic types, given the diversity in their product line. The company advises stakeholders and the public against conflating various types of robots in sales comparisons, as this can lead to misleading interpretations of the data.
The statement comes as part of Unitree’s commitment to transparency and accuracy in its communications. The company has gained recognition for its focus on the research and development, production, and sales of high-performance legged and humanoid robots, as well as six-axis manipulators.
