Urgent: 18-Year-Old Charged for Reckless Driving with Passenger on Bonnet

An “idiotic” driver has infuriated senior police after they were captured on CCTV speeding around a suburban street with another person sitting on their car’s bonnet.

UPDATE: An 18-year-old man has been charged with reckless driving after shocking footage emerged of him driving with a person sitting on the bonnet of his car. The alarming incident occurred at approximately 6 PM on Tuesday, along Limbee Glade, near Jay Street in Huntingdale.

Officials report the driver was operating a white Toyota Corolla hatchback when the dangerous stunt was captured on CCTV. The Western Australia Police Force confirmed the young man now faces one count of reckless driving and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Road policing commander Mike Peters condemned the act, calling it “idiotic and reckless.” He stated, “The Western Australia Police Force will not tolerate idiotic and reckless behavior such as that depicted in the video currently circulating online.” This urgent message highlights the critical need for safety on the roads.

As the video continues to circulate widely, authorities urge all motorists to prioritize safety and responsible driving practices. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers and consequences of reckless behavior behind the wheel.
