URGENT UPDATE: Police in Goulburn are investigating a series of vehicle thefts in the Teneriffe Estate area of Marys Mount, with the crimes occurring between 7 PM on March 8, 2023, and 6:30 AM the following day. Authorities report that thieves predominantly targeted unlocked cars, making off with valuable items including tools, equipment, and personal belongings.
A total of six thefts were reported on roads including Brooklands Circuit, Bonneville Boulevard, and Walsh Street. Alarmingly, two similar incidents occurred just days before, indicating a potential ongoing crime wave in the area. Police are recommending several precautionary measures: always lock your vehicle, secure tradies’ utes and equipment with proper locking mechanisms, and remove or conceal valuables inside your car.
The community’s cooperation is crucial. Anyone with information or who has observed suspicious behavior in the area is encouraged to contact Goulburn Police Station or reach out to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000. All information will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
